Monday, Feb. 19th

9:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Columbia, SC

Workshop Description:
Come celebrate President’s Day with two social studies geeks! This workshop is equally useful as it is fun! Husband and wife duo, Kurt and Amanda Stiglbauer, will instruct participants on how to create and incorporate some of America’s favorite board games into their classrooms. Not a social studies teacher? No worries! These games can easily be transferred to ANY content area! This workshop will be a “working” training, during which participants will learn the ins and outs of various games, and then work individually or collaboratively to create games that can be used with their own students. Door prizes will be awarded to game winners and a Google Drive will be shared to encourage continued collaboration. You will not want to miss out on our lunch time Presidential Trivia Contest, after which the winning team will be awarded some cool presidential swag! Don’t have school today? We’ll cover your time and travel with a $50 teacher stipend!
